VOLUME 07 | CAMILLE STYLES EDIT
THE DREAM ISSUE
Letter from the Editor
Our Summer issue of The EDIT began with a question: What if dreaming isn’t about chasing a perfectly planned future, but trusting yourself enough to follow what feels true?
The theme of this issue is Dream, though probably not in the way we usually think about it. Less fantasy, more intuition. Less striving, more paying attention. The stories in these pages explore what happens when we release the blueprint and allow ourselves to evolve into something we couldn’t have fully planned.
Inside, Leanne Ford and Grace Mitchell share how their Round Top project became something bigger than either imagined. We rethink the idea of the “dream body” through the lens of vitality and feeling fully alive. Sabrina Rudin reminds us that maybe the healthiest thing we can do is gather around a table with people we love. And Rachel Ashwell opens the doors to her deeply personal English manor, reflecting on how our homes evolve alongside us.
As we were creating this issue, I found myself sitting in that same space between certainty and possibility. Currently, there are still boxes stacked around our beach house, and the walls are a blank slate. Each morning, I’ve been sitting outside with my coffee, watching the light shift over the ocean and trying not to rush the instinct to make everything feel “finished” immediately.
This season has reminded me that dreaming isn’t just about imagining what’s next—it’s also about being willing to let go of what no longer fits, even when it’s been beautiful.
This issue is an invitation to trust the quieter voice. The one pulling you toward something more honest, more alive, and more fully your own.
Welcome to the Dream Issue. I’m so glad you’re here.
